This update is in response to recent inquiries from members and changing CDC recommendations.
Our protocols are in place to maintain a facility in which our members and staff feel comfortable and confident that their well-being is a top priority:
- Cleaning: Sanitization efforts by staff throughout the facility during operational hours continue, as does after-hours cleaning. Equipment sanitizing spray and hand sanitizer will continue to be available for members’ use. We greatly appreciate the wiping down of equipment after use and also encourage this practice prior to equipment use.
- Masks: We encourage all members to please wear a mask when entering the facility and in all common areas. A mask is not required during exercise; however, members who wish to wear a mask while exercising are welcome to do so. With this updated guidance, we are following current CDC recommendations.
Please don’t hesitate to let us know of any questions you may have.
Vaccination clinic at PWC: Powell Wellness Center will be holding a vaccination clinic on September 1 from 9 am – noon. Appointments are encouraged but not required. This clinic is free and open to the public. The Pfizer vaccine will be available and a second clinic will be held on September 22 for the second dose. Please be sure to bring an ID or prescription insurance card for identification (insurance is not required for the vaccine). Please direct any questions or appointment inquiries to PWC medical program leader Whitney Propps, 540-445-5388 or firstname.lastname@example.org
In addition to the September 1 clinic, the PWC posts updates on the availability of vaccinations locally.
